Green asparagus grown in Kent and sold throughout Kent and Sussex to Farm Shops and at Farmer's Markets.
Traditionally the first available fresh vegetable of the English Season, asparagus is eagerly awaited.
The asparagus cutting season is from May 1st to June 20th, approximately. Asparagus Crowns Asparagus plants are available for planting in the spring. They are sold UK wide, directly from this website.
The next planting date is April 2011, and these can be pre-ordered from November this year on this site.
NPFA History
We established our first asparagus beds in 1988 & over the past 21 years we have refined our asparagus growing & production techniques. Varieties have come & gone & yet some beds are now in their 10th year.
In 2003 we commenced soft & cane fruit production: to compliment & to extend our asparagus season we now grow the following crops: available from our Farm Stall & at Farmer's Markets.
